"Murdered to Death"
by Peter Gordon
Auditions: May 1, 2 & 3, 2012
Cast: 5 male, 5 female ~ This hilarious spoof of the Agatha Christie
genre is set in a country manor house in the 1930s, with an assembled cast
of characters guaranteed to delight. The play introduces the inept
and bungling Inspector Pratt, who battles against the odds and his own
incompetence to solve the murder of the house's owner. It soon becomes clear
that the murderer isn't finished yet, but will the miscreant be unmasked
before everyone else has met their doom, or will the audience die laughing
first?

"Lust 'n
Rust"
The Trailer Park Musical
by Frank Haney, Carol Kimball & Dave Stratton
Auditions: September 4, 5 & 6, 2012
Cast requirements: 5-6 men, 4-5 women, 9-10 total
Lust 'n Rust is the story of Steve, a corporate manager from New Jersey who
is transferred by his company to a small Southern Illinois town to run the
local Agribig food processing plant. He moves into the Redbud Mobile Estates
and meets the quirky characters that live in the trailer park.
Steve's life is immediately complicated by a relationship with Connie, a
neighbor in the park who waits tables at Smitty's Diner. Connie is splitting
up with her soon to be ex-husband, Duane, who is trying to gain Connie's
forgiveness for an unfortunate incident. Steve's life is further complicated
when he gets a difficult assignment - an action that could have a disasterous
impact on the local economy.
