A Note from the Director:  I’m reaching out to all of you who have ever been involved in a Variety Show at Coach House Players and maybe a few others too, to invite you to join us.

Our theme this year is “A Little Bit Country – A Little Bit Rock ‘n’ Roll.” It will be the usual mixture of music and comedy and a good time had by all.

We’d like to get started right away. Auditions can be arranged for as soon as possible to select songs and groups allowing you lots of time to work on your numbers. That way we won’t need to use four nights a week during all of July and August.

Of course, there will be skits and bits … but one thing at a time.

Please get back to me ASAP one way or another so we can begin planning our next Variety Show.

THE STORY:  The epic struggle between good and evil comes to life on stage in the musical phenomenon, Jekyll & Hyde. Based on the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson and featuring a thrilling score of pop rock hits from multi-Grammy- and Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn and double-Oscar- and Grammy-winning Leslie Bricusse, Jekyll & Hyde has mesmerized audiences the world over.

An evocative tale of two men – one, a doctor, passionate and romantic; the other, a terrifying madman – and two women – one, beautiful and trusting; the other, beautiful and trusting only herself– both women in love with the same man and both unaware of his dark secret. A devoted man of science, Dr. Henry Jekyll is driven to find a chemical breakthrough that can solve some of mankind’s most challenging medical dilemmas. Rebuffed by the powers that be, he decides to make himself the subject of his own experimental treatments, accidentally unleashing his inner demons along with the man that the world would come to know as Mr. Hyde.  (2019  Music Theatre International, https://www.mtishows.com/jekyll-hyde)
